Sherryl Belinsky

ListServe Administrator

Sheryl has served as the volunteer ListServe Administrator for KS&A since February 1999 and also volunteered as the webmaster from February 1999 through early 2009. Since early 1993, she has worked in a variety of capacities at the Organization of American States (OAS), based in Washington, D.C.  In September, 2004, she became a Web Manager at the OAS, and in this capacity, Sherryl presently manages and maintains a network of nine servers and twelve web sites.

Sherryl began working on Internet sites and in Web management in July 1995.  She graduated from the University of Mary Washington (formerly Mary Washington College) in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish.  She served for two years on the KS&A Board (2003 - 2005); and in addition to her technology-related activities for the organization, provides support to parents who have recently received a pre-natal diagnosis, as well as through speaking with parents about educational issues.  Additionally, Sherryl serves as a Director of the Old Dominion Preservation Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to saving the unique and irreplaceable history of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Its main project is the preservation and long-term care of the 250-year old Andrew Zirkle Mill, which she co-owns with her brother, and which was built by one of their ancestors. Sherryl is an avid genealogist, and with her brother, has researched 9 family lines on their mother’s side of the family, tracing as many as 12 generations back to their arrival in America in the mid 1720’s.
